in Kalimpong at the
Occasion of
Lossar, the Tibetan New Year Celebrations. (2004)
Gyalwa
Karmapa Thaye Dordje presided over the annual Lossar
ceremonies wich took place in the presence of Jigme Rinpoche and
other tulkus of the lineage: Nendo Tenam Tulku, Tulku Droubgyu Tenzin,
Dekha Tulku, Chogyal Tulku, Chagmed Tulku, and Sachu Tulku. Together
with the monks and nuns and numerous inhabitants of Rumtek they performed
the extensive Mahakala rituals preceeding Lossar, as well as the
Sang Puja for the new year. Gyalwa Karmapa gave a long life empowerment
and took part in the Manjushri pujas. Disciples of all nationalities
came together for these events in order to offer their presents and
receive Gyalwa Karmapa's blessing. The presence of Jigme Rinpoche
during this period of time, followed by the arrival of Shamar Rinpoche,
increased even further the joy and happiness of all those who had
had the good fortune to participate in those festivities.
